About Me
Like many people, I find movement is foundational to my wellbeing. This has come in various forms, but in the last 5 years has centred on yoga and running.
Most things outdoors I'm particularly happy to join in with!
Why Train in Yoga?
I have been practising yoga for around 15 years, and despite intermittent time 'on and off' during this period, have always returned to it. I knew I was getting something out of it, but I wasn't too sure what. So in 2023 I decided to join a Vinyasa YT 200Hrs to try to understand better.
The teaching helped me realise that yoga offers me a comfortable language to explore my life experience. I find it easier to engage with, and listen to, the somatic, non-verbal form of communication achievable through the practice. And then there is a wealth of ancient, and now modern, wisdom to draw upon when needed.
Why 'Teach' Yoga?
I'm not sure 'teach' is quite the right word, but I have found that I enjoy helping to facilitate a space for yoga practice for others and hope that in doing so, I can create a community with which to explore and grow through the practice together.

My Philosophy
I am particularly interested in how to integrate yoga into a busy lifestyle and UK setting. When speaking to my philosophy teacher on our course, we noted differences between some of the traditional yogic teachings and modern UK culture. The application of yoga to the setting is not always obvious and I am interested in studying this further through my own practice.
